As he prepares for the next stage of his golf career, Ben Warnquist plans to take a set of brand new irons and put them in his golf bag on Wednesday.

There is nothing wrong with his old clubs, mind you, especially after the DeMatha senior fired a sensational 5-under par 66 in Tuesday’s second round at the University of Maryland Golf Course to win the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championship for the second time.
